Gay Marriage Countries

Why is gay marriage illegal in some countries?

What is wrong with two people that love each other wanting to make a legal commitment together?

Because cultures across the world vary greatly. No one can expect every country to be like his/her own because different societies have vastly different beliefs about what is acceptable and what isn’t. There are countries where young girls are sold as child brides, a practice that’s seen as completely acceptable in countries that practice it but abhorred by countries that don’t. In the U.S., it’s perfectly acceptable for women to walk out of their houses any time of day they want dressed in clothes of their choice, while in some countries, that’s an arrestable offense. Countries like Iran could just as easily ask why, in many countries, do women have equal rights to men? What’s wrong with making women subservient? It’s the same with anything else. I’d dare say there’s probably very few if any things legal in one country that are legal in every country on earth. I may not be able to make sense of everything that goes on everywhere else in the world, but that’s my personal perspective because of the way I’ve always lived and the way I’ve been conditioned to feel per my society’s legal and social rules and the morals I’ve developed because of that. Not everyone in the world lives as I do or has had my freedoms or experiences. What I find acceptable/unacceptable by my standards as an American is bound to be different than that of someone who lives in a completely different culture.
