Lets also assume that 2/3 of all gays and lesbians have found a partner, making 6,816,678 gay couples that currently cannot be married under the laws of the United States government.
The national average cost for a wedding ceremony and reception is $20,398… so, if 6,816,678 gay couples are allowed to mary, and chose to have the average ceremony and reception, a total of $139,046,597,844.00 will be spent. That’s 139 BILLION. Quite the stimulus package, eh?
