Giving of the Rings
(To Groom) What token do you give as a symbol of your affection and of your sincerity and fidelity?

The city clerk of Bakersfield, CA said that her office will conduct no civil unions, gay or straight, because they don’t have the manpower to do them all. She said this only after she learned she did not have the legal right to pick and choose which unions she approved of to be performed by the city.
